Last game hopefully will be tonight. Actually, I wouldn't mind the Pens winning it so we get a game 7... but I don't want to see them get the cup. Not that I like the Wings all that much, but I dislike the Pens even more.
Some of my hatred is justified... some is more issues I have with the NHL in general. But since it's easier to take my frustrations on the Pens rather then the NHL... that's what I do. :D

Full Version: Last game is hopefully tonight
I'm rooting for the Wings also...Western Conference, Original 6, Closer to home, big rivalry with my beloved Hawks(which is why most Hawk fans root for the Pens). I just think the Wings are the class of the league, they do most everything well from the top down. They deserve it. Plus...I did a job in Michigan today. 
It's funny how different a team plays on home ice... Detroit isn't doing terribly bad, but they aren't on fire that's for sure. (mid way thru 2nd period)
Should be a fun final on Friday night.

it was fun when i was in oregon where games started at 5:00 and trying to tell eclipse "there's a game on tonight, so i'll be through around 4;30" 
I thought tonight's game was well...something missing. Detroit of all teams couldn't make a pass, and the frikkin refs decide to just watch the game. I don't like refs deciding anything, but this was a little over the top. They didn't even call 2 critical and obvious icings. Crosschecking and interference were rampant everywhere. If you're a fan of old school hockey I guess it was ok. I prefer to watch skaters and skill. 
And were the Detroit fans booing Betteman, or something else at the end there? And why? Yeah Bettemen is an idiot, but what did that have to do with anything about the game? Seemed pretty lame to me.

that was the first hockey game i've ever watched from beginning to end...i might watch another one next year the goal keeper for the white team did an outstanding job because that red team just kept firing hockey pucks at him all night i saw this one fella get stomach cramps after getting crashed into the side wall...he tried to come back but only for the stick fight for the puck. what is icing, i couldn't get that one figured out

As soon as the buzzer went off, I turned off the TV. I didn't watch any of the presentation or anything.... yes.. upset... yes... a little bitter.
Mad props to Fleury (sp?) as he did an outstanding job in net... and probably the main reason they were able to win.

Yeah..in a nutshell, you can't shoot the puck passed the goal line extended of the opposing team until you hit center ice. Unless you are killing a penalty, then you can "ice" the puck without worry. Icing just brings a faceoff back to your own end. I would have called you about it John, but I couldn't find your #.
