The Habs dealt goalie Christobal Huet to the Washington Capitals on Tuesday for a second-round draft pick
After being unable to sign Brian Campbell to a long-term deal, the Buffalo Sabres dealt defenceman to San Jose on Tuesday for young winger Steve Bernier and a first-round draft pick.
The St. Louis Blues acquired Cam Janssen from the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday in exchange for defenceman Bryce Salvador.

i'm watching it on center ice. i get the tradecentre (sp) 08. 
not real happy about losing mike smith. but richards should give us a good assists guy to go with modano.
i'm not really happy with the whole thing really. we're the second best team in the nhl, and we've had 3 premier players sitting out injured. i'm not real big on messin with a good thing.
plus, i really liked mike smith.

I think Mike Smith is good...but Richards can be GREAT! I think it's a great trade for both teams. Smith will solidify the goal for Tampa, and Richards is due to bounce back into form. If so, look out everyone else out west. 
Blackhawks? I really liked Ruutu, he was fun to watch, and he's a good interview. He's a funny guy, and he hits anything and everything on the ice...Carolina will love him. Ladd? He seems to be scoring well lately, he's big enough..we'll see. 
Penguins gave up alot for Hossa, I'm pretty sure he'll test free agency as the Pens can't possibly pay him, Crosby, AND Malkin. Huet for the Caps was a steal...what the he!! are the Habs gonna do...Carey Price? Interesting to see the new/old Avs with Forseberg, Foote and Sakic back together. Trade deadlines are cool.
